How to find out direction – East West North South. This is an important lesson you learn in geography and they are very important know.

If you were traveling and you had to use a map but you do not understand cardinal points/directions, you are in “BIG TROUBLE”. Understanding your direction will help you know if a map is telling you to go East, West, North or South.

If the map shows that you need to be traveling East, but you travel west, you will find yourself in a different location. Although we have GPS technology now, it is important to learn and understand cardinal direction just in case your GPS fails you one day and you have to use a map instead.
